Michele Mattox, LCSW, LISW-CP

Michele is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in both North and South Carolina. She is the owner and lead therapist of No Limits Counseling, a private practice based in Fort Mill, SC and Charlotte, NC. Michele developed this practice specifically for teens and adults who are differently-abled.

After taking some time off from her career to stay home with her two boys she began volunteering at several disability organizations in Charlotte, trying to decide where she could fill a need in the disability community. It was then that she realized the need for more mental health professionals that are familiar with and can connect with individuals with I/DD, specifically clients with Down syndrome.

Michele has been involved with individuals with different abilities either professionally or as a volunteer for more than 20 years. Working as a Behavior Specialist, In-Home Service Provider, Teacher’s Assistant in a life skills classroom, Skills Group Facilitator, Program Coordinator for teens/adults with Down syndrome, and a Special Olympics coach has given her insight into mental health and relationship difficulties often experienced in the I/DD population.

Her mission is to provide accessible services to individuals of all abilities, to help them improve overall wellness and achieve their goals.
